On the 30th of June Australia published voluntary toy safety standards AS/NZS 8124.1:2016 and AS/NZS 8124.2:2016.

AS/NZS 8124.1:2016 part 1 Mechanical and Physical properties adopts the ISO 8124.1: 2014 standard but with modified requirements as below：

Addition of “fibrous filling material” as an exempt material to small parts clause 4.4.1 .
A guide that it is sufficient to carry one warning when a toy presents more than one of the following hazards: small part(s), small ball(s), or marbles.

Addition of a figure to describe total ventilation area for clause 4.16.1.

Newly added to the scope, requirements on eye template, revised  energy per impart area for projectile toys.

Add bath toy requirement for clause 4.8.
