On the 7th of July 2017 ECHA published a Decision adding PFHxS to the SVHC Candidate List, and at the same time BPA add endocrine disrupting properties as Intrinsic properties in SVHC. BPA is already listed on the Candidate List because it is toxic for reproduction now the SVHC Candidate List includes a total of 174 substances in 17 batches.
On the 16th of June 2017 the Official Journal of the European Union has published Directives (EU) (EU)2017/1009,(EU)2017/1010 and (EU) 2017/1011 to amend point 9(b) and point 13(a) regarding an exemption on lead , and 13(b) as regarding an exemption on lead and cadmium. On the 25th of September 2014 the European Commission (EC) has notified the World Trade Organization (WTO) a revision to the lead limit in Annex II under the Toy Safety Directive 2009/48/EC (TSD). The EU proposes to adopt the amendment in the first quarter of 2015, with it coming into force in the third quarter of 2016.
